Streetworks Manager | 9093 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £56,912 to £62,618 per annum (Scale M) | County Hall, Norwich The Highways Services Team is looking for an experienced Streetworks Manager to be the lead officer for Norfolk County Council (NCC) Streetworks, and manage the countywide Streetworks team in accordance with current legislation. This new role will be the designated Traffic Manager for NCC to ensure the effective coordination of all activities on the highway network including highway works, utility works, permits and licences in accordance with Traffic Management Act 2004, the New Roads and Streetworks Act 1991, and the Highways Act 1980.You will oversee the Norfolk Permit Scheme to ensure works on the network comply with the permit conditions to minimise disruption on the highway network and will ensure the Permit Scheme is compliant will relevant legislation.As such, the successful applicant will have extensive experience in a Streetworks environment and be conversant with the relevant legislation in order to work in a political environment and advise elected Members when required.You will be an excellent communicator and have proven leadership qualities in order to influence and lead teams effectively.
