The Governance Service is a traded service which sits within the Education Strategy Service, Children’s Service Department. Our team specialises in supporting local governance issues and is dedicated to empowering school governing boards by developing and providing essential resources and knowledge to drive effective governance.

We are looking for a Governance Service Manager who can bring fresh ideas, strong leadership, and has an ability to make things happen. This role is all about leading our governance and Governance Professional (clerking) Service across Norfolk.
You will be the person who keeps budgets on track, supports staff to do their best work and makes sure our services are modern, agile and responsive. We are looking for someone who has experience in service development, business planning/ organisational growth. Someone who is confident with budgets and financial planning and who loves leading people and helping them develop.
We need someone who can think strategically but also who can roll up their sleeves to get things done. As a brilliant communicator you can build strong professional relationships and will have a passion for innovation. You’ll have the chance to shape and grow a service that really matters, working with a supportive, professional team who care about what they do and will have the opportunity to make a difference.
