Assistant Analyst – Two Positions Available | 9052 | Temporary Contract/Secondment Opportunity for 12 Months | 37 hours per week | £28,598 – £31,022 per annum | Scale F | NorwichWe have an exciting opportunity in the Insight and Analytics service for two Assistant Analysts to join our Education & Inclusion team. The roles will support reporting and analysis, carrying out a diverse range of tasks to support Children’s Services with a specific focus on Education. Please read the Assistant Analyst job description and additional context about the role below before applying.  Responsibilities will include the creation and maintenance of Power BI dashboards, the development of structured queries using SQL and other programming languages, and general data-focussed tasks such as the processing of Department for Education statutory returns. It brings together analytical and data governance functions to develop effective strategies for business planning and provide the statutory reporting that the organisation needs to complete to comply with its legal obligations. This provides an understanding of where services can improve, including demand and capacity planning, to achieve good outcomes for the people of Norfolk.  The service provides experience in data analytics, data science, information governance, standards and best practice, training, support, innovation and research. This drives the integration and exploitation of data and information, providing unique and innovative insight and enables evidence based, data driven decision making at all levels of the Council’s services.  Assistant Analysts work with service areas to ensure that data, insight and analytics are an embedded part of service delivery and design.
