Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month.

We are seeking to recruit an Achieving Permanence Team Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of a passionate and committed management group who recognise that our Children in Care are at the heart of everything we do.The Corporate Parenting service is a dynamic and growing service within Central Bedfordshire and this role will be integral to supporting the development of this service and achieve positive outcomes for children. We work together as a dedicated service to ensure our children in care have access to opportunities to achieve and where at all possible, to live within their family network if this can be safely achieved.
As a Team Manager, you will liaise with other teams within the council to ensure that our assessments, permanency planning and supervision are comprehensive and effective, you will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through training opportunities. This role will be providing a high level of professional leadership, motivation and direction to a team of qualified social workers and others to ensure that the service is effective, safe and meets the needs of children, young people and their families.

- Access to training in Systemic Practice and Motivational Training.
- Support to complete Practice Education qualifications.
- Support to complete a post-qualifying Masters in Child and Family Social Work.
- Regular personal and group supervisions.
- Supportive Managers, Senior Leaders and Teams.
- Manageable caseloads allowing for outstanding work.
