Social Worker Level 2 / Senior Social Worker | 9739 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £39,826 to £41,771 per annum (Grade J) / £43,822 to £48,277 per annum (Grade K) | Grade J/K | Norwich and South / North, Broadland and Great Yarmouth

It is an exciting time to join our team of dedicated and passionate social workers. We are looking to recruit social workers for two of our In Care teams, working with Looked After Children. Two posts will be based in our Norwich and South locality (Norwich) and the other post will be based in Great Yarmouth at our North, Broadland and Great Yarmouth locality.

We welcome applications from those who have experience of working with children and young people who are in Care or are Care Experienced, or those who have children’s social worker experience and the transferrable skills to now work in this area.

We have ambitious plans to shape how we work with families, placing practitioners and relationship-based practice at the heart of what we do. Through our vision for children and young people in Norfolk, we work with family and natural networks and across the whole system to support families to build on their strengths and to achieve the best possible outcomes.

We believe it is vital that children are prepared and able to learn; build positive, long-term relationships and receive family-based care. Norfolk’s social care model is a relationship-based, purposeful approach with social workers practicing in a trauma informed way, incorporating therapeutic approaches within their work with children, young people, their carers and families. Our approach to working with children in Care includes a specialist service with clinicians and practitioners working to support social care teams in meeting need and improving outcomes for young people Looked After in Norfolk.

It is an exciting time to join our Corporate Parenting Service as we embark on a new way of working that allows practitioners to focus on preventative work to support the emotional wellbeing and aspirations for every young person we work with.

With relevant professional vocational qualification in Social Work, you will have registration with Social Work England.

We offer a £2,000 Welcome Payment for grade J & K Social Workers who join the In Care Team.
