Norfolk County Council

£39,862 to £48,227

Social Worker (FAST Youth Team) | 10494 | Secondment Opportunity / Temporary Fixed Term Contract for 12 months | 37 hours per week | £39,862 to £48,227 per annum | Grade J/K | Countywide

Join an Outstanding local authority and be part of one of the strongest children’s services in the country. Following our recent Ofsted inspection, inspectors found that children in Norfolk receive “consistently strong services that impact positively on their and their families’ lives.” They described our practice as “child centred” and highlighted a culture where “children and care leavers come first.” If you are looking for a role where your practice is valued and your impact is recognised, Norfolk is the place to build your career.

Applications are sought for the role of Social Worker within a dynamic team working with children who have been deemed at risk of exploitation and serious youth violence.

We are looking for a social worker who is passionate, skilled and creative in engaging adolescents and their families, who have a drive to bring about positive change and work alongside partner agencies.  This is an opportunity to work within a dynamic team targeting areas of exploitation and serious youth violence across the county.

The team is a county wide service who works closely alongside our wider adolescent service including targeted youth work support, the Youth Justice Service, Family Help and Phoenix team, to name a few.

Before you apply, we recommend reading the full Job Description and Person Specification to help you demonstrate you meet the criteria.

For an informal discussion around this application, please contact the Team Manager, Harlie Randall (01493 448203), email Harlie.Randall@norfolk.gov.uk  or Head of service, Hannah Watson (01493 448281)
