Directorate: Children and Families
Salary: Social Worker (Level 1): £34,811 – £37,562 per annum pro rata plus Standard MRS £5,100 per annum pro rata
Social Worker (Level 2): £38,476 – £40,069 per annum pro rata plus Standard MRS £5,150 per annum pro rata and Enhanced MRS £3,850 per annum pro rata
Senior Practitioner: £41,042 – £44,296 per annum pro rata plus Standard MRS £5,150 per annum pro rata and Enhanced MRS £4,350 per annum pro rata

At Central Bedfordshire Council, we are recruiting experienced and compassionate Social Workers and Senior Practitioners with at least one year’s post-qualifying experience to join our dynamic, forward-thinking Children’s & Families teams. We are passionate about Systemic Practice and Motivational Training, supporting you with reflective supervision, dedicated time to plan interventions, and access to an excellent learning and development offer.

We are looking for qualified Social Workers who:

  • Have a good understanding of how to apply different social work theories and models in practice.
  • Can design and deliver imaginative, ambitious interventions that improve outcomes for children and young people.
  • Are committed to building strong, respectful relationships with families.
