We’re looking for a Registration Officer to join our friendly and supportive team within the Cambridgeshire Registration Service.
This is a part-time role (15 hours per week), likely to be worked across 2 days in Wisbech and 1 day in March, with flexibility around start and finish times — making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to balance work with family or other commitments.

What will you be doing?
This is a varied and meaningful customer-facing role where you will:

Register births and deaths

Take notices of marriage and civil partnership

Support customers through sensitive and important life events

Carry out administrative tasks and handle payments
You’ll play a key role in ensuring our service remains professional, compassionate and efficient at all times.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:

Confident, calm and able to communicate clearly with a wide range of people

Naturally organised and able to manage their time effectively
-
Comfortable handling sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism

Experienced in customer service (this is essential)

Able to work flexibly as part of a team
Experience within a Registration Service is helpful but not essential — full training will be provided.
