You will work closely with families, schools and partner agencies to develop and review personalised education plans, monitor progress and attendance, support reintegration into education, and ensure learners receive the right support to achieve positive outcomes. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people while fulfilling the Council’s statutory duty to provide suitable education for those unable to access school.

Candidates must have the ability to independently travel in and outside of Southend

NB: This role is  term time plus 2 weeks so the advertised salary will be pro rata

You will be confident delivering personalised and differentiated learning programmes, with experience of teaching across Key Stages 1 to 4.

You will be a skilled communicator with the ability to build positive and productive relationships with pupils, families, schools and a wide range of professionals. It is vital that you are able to travel across the Borough to visit school sites or to deliver programmes in a range of settings, including pupils’ homes, if appropriate.

Your application will not be considered if you do not have Qualified Teachers Status (QTS).
