Your new role

We are looking for knowledgeable EHC coordinator (x5) to join either our assessment or casework teams on a full time, fixed term contract basis (until 31st March 2027). This role is offered on a hybrid basis which is a blend of working from home and 2 days per week in the office or attending meetings around the city.

 

As an EHCP coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for an allocated caseload of either new EHC assessments (caseload 40-60 at any one time) or a caseload of existing EHC plans (caseload circa 200-240).

 

You will perform all aspects of caseload management following the relevant statutory processes and respond to queries, concerns, complaints, in a professional, customer friendly manner including preparing cases for panel decisions and ensuring all relevant information is available to manager to support the decision-making process. 

 

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, excellent understanding of the necessary legislation, SEND Code of Practice, Children and Families Act 2014 is essential. You must be able to write high quality, legally compliant EHC plans following our internal quality assurance processes. Excellent interpersonal skills to support children and families through the annual review processes and to support schools understanding. Highly motivated and the ability to work independently with excellent organisational skills to ensure priority actions are being met.
