St Edmunds Catholic Preschool is seeking to appoint an experienced, innovative and dedicated Early Years specialist who can lead the preschool. The new leader will have the opportunity to build on the current good practise based on a Reggio Emilia approach. The preschool is a governor lead provision, and part of St Edmund’s Catholic Primary School.
You will work closely with the school’s foundation stage leader who oversees the early years foundation stage, and will be part of a supportive, hardworking staff team, including admin staff, speech therapist and colleagues in the school. As Preschool Leader, you will be the designated safeguarding lead and SENDCo for which additional training will be provided.
The 26-place preschool and before/after school clubs are open term time only (38 weeks per year). You will work between 8am – 4.30pm, five days per week and ad hoc sunshine club hours when required.
The preschool is located near the centre of Bury St Edmunds. The setting is housed in its own building within the school grounds and makes use of the extensive school surroundings. There is an extensive programme of continuing professional development for staff and a supportive parent community.
