Full time

Norfolk County Council

20/06/2026

Norfolk Road Safety Partnership Coordinator | 10642 | fixed term contract for two years/secondment opportunity for NCC or NFRS staff | 37 hours per week | £39,862 to £41,771 per annum | Grade J | Norwich/hybrid working

Norfolk’s Road Safety Partnership brings together multiple organisations to deliver an ambitious programme to reduce those killed or seriously injured on our roads. We are strengthening our capacity to deliver coordinated, evidence-led, prevention-focused activity through the Safe System approach. This is a new and exciting opportunity to help shape and support the future of partnership working in road safety across Norfolk.

As the Road Safety Partnership Co‑ordinator, you will play a key role in bringing partners together, aligning priorities and strengthening delivery.

Based within Norfolk County Council’s Public Health Road Safety Team, you will work closely with colleagues across Police, Fire & Rescue, Public Health, Highways, East of England Ambulance Service and wider partners to ensure a joined-up approach.

You will use data, research and intelligence to support the partnership with prevention planning, partnership activity and performance reporting, with a strong focus on embedding evaluation and demonstrating impact. You will coordinate partnership road safety groups, support in reporting shared safety indicators and help to ensure activity is aligned and evidence-led.

You will also support commissioning activity, developing funding bids and achieving partnership governance, helping to maintain effective systems, documentation and agreements that underpin delivery.

You will bring strong experience of multi-agency or partnership working, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and coordinate across organisations. You will be confident using evidence to inform decisions and communicating with a wide range of audiences. Road safety delivery experience is not essential and we welcome candidates with experience in prevention, public health, community safety, commissioning or similar fields.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, countywide partnership and support an ambitious, prevention-led approach to road safety in Norfolk.
