Suffolk Mind’s mission is to make Suffolk the best place in the world for talking about and taking care of mental health, and to assist with this we are looking to recruit two Facilitators for our Eating Recovery Service.

Our Eating recovery service will support adults those who identify as having an eating disorder, or disordered eating. Our team provide assessment leading on to group, and one to one support. Our approach combines psychoeducational, nutrition and CBT interventions to offer a holistic approach.

In this role, you will provide emotional and practical support which will enable service users to meet their emotional needs and achieve personal growth. You will need to facilitate group sessions, provide one to one focus work and be a positive face for Eating Recovery in either:

Post 1

  • Location: Bury St Edmunds.
  • Hours: 18.8 hours per week, worked over 2.5 days per week.
  • Work pattern: Tuesday 10am – 6pm, Wednesday 9am – 5pm, and Thursday’s 10am – 2pm.
  • Salary: £13,821.56 – £15,678.18 per annum (actual salary).

Post 2

  • Location: Ipswich.
  • Hours: 22.2 hours per week, 3 days per week.
  • Work pattern: Tuesday 9 am – 5 pm, Wednesday 11 am – 7 pm, and Thursdays 9 am – 5 pm.
  • Salary: £16,321.20- £18,513.60 per annum (actual salary).

Summary of the key requirements for the role

  • Experience of working with people in mental health
  • Experience of facilitating support groups as well as support in a 1-2-1 setting
  • Good listening and people skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate through different means sometimes over sensitive and/or complex issues
  • Desirable: therapeutic experience, experience of working with people with eating disorders.
