An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Developer Funding Team, which is part of the Council’s wider Planning Service. We are looking for a Project Compliance Officer to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis. Applicants who are interested in a secondment opportunity will also be considered, if appropriate. The Developer Funding Team comprises the Developer Funding Manager and two Developer Funding Finance and Monitoring Officers. You will play an important role in working across teams and with partners to ensure that section 106-funded projects are delivered within the required specifications and timescales. The post will also record and maintain accurate evidence of project outcomes. The office base is New Shire Hall in Alconbury Weald, Huntingdon, with flexibility to work in alternative office locations, as well as working from home. Your role will involve several tasks day-to-day, including: working with County Council services and with partners to ensure that section 106-funded projects are delivered within the required specifications and timescales. monitoring progress against project delivery timescales recording and maintaining accurate evidence of project outcomesoversight of section 106 finances writing reports and presenting before various audiencesmanaging change where new processes are introduced to servicesproject coordination managing risks associated with spending section 106 funding You will be part of a small and friendly team working across a number of the Council’s functions. If you enjoy interacting with other service colleagues and external partners, monitoring project delivery and learning new software, this could be a great fit for you. About you The following skills will be helpful in your role: ability to communicate with various stakeholders confidently and constructively, including negotiation skills , presentation skills and report writing skillsability to use a range of IT systems including MS Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel, and ability to use/learn new software, in particular section 106 or planning databasesability to prioritise your workload and share work across the teamexcellent attention to detail Please refer to the attachment for a full job description and personal specification.
