Help give every child the best start in life.

Do you believe that early support can change a child’s future?

Norfolk County Council is looking for passionate, proactive and community-focused Family Hub Community and Outreach Workers to join our Best Start Family Hubs network.

This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with children and families, delivering evidence-based interventions and practical support that helps children achieve a Good Level of Development by the end of Reception year.

Working across local communities, Family Hubs, outreach settings and family homes, you will identify and engage families who may not access support independently, helping them overcome barriers and access the right services at the right time.

Successful candidates will have a good knowledge of child development and experience of working with children under 5 and their families to deliver family support and parenting based interventions.

Before you apply, we recommend reading the full Job Description and Person Specification to help you demonstrate you meet the criteria.

These are some benefits you can enjoy by working for Norfolk County Council:

  • Competitive salary
  • Generous holiday entitlement
  • Health and Wellbeing services including fast-track physiotherapy and a free counselling service
