Lead Project Officer (Branding) – Norfolk Coast Protected Landscape | 10335 | Fixed Term Contract until 30 June 2028 | 37 hours per week | £37,280 to £39,152 per annum (Scale I) | North Norfolk Coast / Norwich / Hybrid

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to lead the brand and voice of one of the UK’s most special landscapes at a milestone moment in its history. We’re looking for someone to play a central role in:

  • The launch of the King Charles III England Coast Path (KCIIIECP)
  • Celebrating 40 years of the Peddars Way & Norfolk Coast Path National Trail

Working closely with the Norfolk Coast National Landscape and a wide network of partners, you’ll help connect people with nature, inspire action and elevate the profile of this extraordinary place. You’ll lead innovative campaigns and strategic communications that reflect the importance of nationally designated landscapes and seascapes, while engaging diverse audiences. From high-level brand development to hands-on delivery, this is a role where creativity meets purpose.

What you’ll be doing

  • Oversee milestone moments, including National Trail celebrations and launch activities
  • Create engaging content across digital, print, media and events
  • Build and manage relationships with our partners
  • Lead media relations, press activity and storytelling
  • Commission and manage external contractors and creative services
  • Use insight and data to evaluate impact and continuously improve engagement
  • Champion accessibility and inclusivity in all communications

About you

You’re a strategic thinker and creative communicator who thrives on collaboration and purpose-driven work. You’ll bring:

  • Significant experience in communications, branding and/or marketing (ideally within environmental settings)
  • A track record of delivering impactful campaigns and partnership projects
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills across different audiences and channels
  • Confident stakeholder working and influencing at all levels
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • A passion for nature, landscapes and connecting people with place
  • Knowledge of nature recovery, climate change and/or sustainable tourism would be a strong advantage.

Why join us?

This is more than a communications role — it’s a chance to shape how people experience and value a nationally significant landscape. You’ll be:

  • Working in one of the UK’s most beautiful and ecologically important coastal environments
  • Part of a growing, collaborative, forward-thinking team
  • Contributing to nature recovery, climate action and sustainable tourism
  • Leading high-profile projects with national visibility
