Salary: £45,586 – £55,974 (including up to 3 SPA points) per annum (pro rata where part-time).
Grade: Soulbury A2 – 7 plus up to 3 SPA points

Fringe Allowance: £939 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 1 x 37 hours per week and 1 x 22.2 hours per week

About Us

Thurrock is served by the C2C railway which connects London Fenchurch Street and Shoeburyness, meaning the average train journey time from London to Grays is 40 minutes. Thurrock also has easy access to the A13, M25 and Dartford Crossing.

About the Role

At Thurrock EPS, you will be part of a team of Educational Psychologists with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and to offering the highest quality of person-centred services to children, young people and families living in Thurrock. 

As a member of the team, you will work with children and young people from pre-school to post-16, provide crucial support for our most vulnerable residents through collaboration with teams such as the Virtual School and Youth Justice Service, as well as undertake a range of statutory duties. You will also participate in providing a traded service to schools and academies through a Consultation First model.

As the ideal candidate you will:

  • Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist (or pending on completion of the doctoral training)
  • Have a commitment to promoting inclusion through your work with children, families, schools and other professionals
  • Work collaboratively as part of an EP Team, taking a solution-focused approach to enhancing the quality and efficiency of the service.

DBS Check: At Enhanced Level with Children’s Barred List is required for this post.
