TITAN School and Family Engagement Coordinator | 9704 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £31,537 to £33,699 per annum | Grade G | County Hall
The TITAN School and Family Engagement Coordinator is vital in helping children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across Norfolk take their first steps towards confident, independent travel.
TITAN (Travel Independence Training Across Norfolk) supports young people with SEND and adults at risk to develop the skills they need to travel safely and independently. By building lifelong travel confidence, the service opens up access to education, employment and social opportunities, while supporting Norfolk County Council’s wider commitment to inclusion, independence and positive outcomes for SEND learners.
This role plays a key part in shaping how TITAN works with schools and families across Norfolk. You will act as the lead liaison for the primary programme, Let’s Go!, and the secondary programme, Ready to Go!, working closely with education settings to embed a culture of early travel independence and support schools to identify pupils who may benefit from targeted travel training.
Early and effective family engagement is central to the role and you will work directly with families and carers to ensure they receive the right information at the right time. You will represent TITAN at county-wide SEND events and transition activities, promoting the benefits of travel independence and strengthening partnerships across Children’s Services, including SEND, Transport, Road Safety and Education teams.
As a creative and enthusiastic professional, you will be responsible for the development of engaging and accessible resources for schools, pupils and families. You will design and deliver materials that support learning and engagement, using a range of digital tools and working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high-quality outputs.
This is a varied, people-focused role, requiring excellent communication and organisational skills. You will be confident working independently and as part of a wider team, with experience of working with young people and families, particularly those with SEND, and have a strong commitment to inclusive intervention.
This role involves regular travel across Norfolk to schools, meeting and events. Although the role will take place during core hours, occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support engagement and promotional activity.
