Procurement Officer – Sub Threshold Procurement | 9430 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £31,537 to £33,699 per annum (Scale G) | County Hall, Norwich About the RoleWe are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our central Procurement Team. In this role, you will support departments across the Council to ensure sub-threshold contracts are awarded and managed in line with best practice, relevant legislation, and our Contract Standing Orders.You’ll play a key part in maintaining compliance, managing contract records, and advising on procurement routes such as frameworks and competitive quotations. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on how the Council spends its £1.1bn annual budget on goods and services.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide professional advice and guidance on purchasing and contracting processes.Identify and support the use of internal and external frameworks for procurement.Proactively manage sub-threshold contracts, ensuring timely renewals and compliance.Maintain accurate contract records in Oracle and publish statutory notices as required.Analyse contract data to identify trends and areas for improvement.Manage the Council’s Amazon Business Account and recommend improvements.About YouWe’re looking for someone who can communicate clearly, work independently, and has strong IT skills (including Excel for data analysis).
