The Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich are looking for an outgoing friendly Giving Advisor to join the Parish Resources Team which is responsible for supporting our parishes to optimise giving and become financially sustainable. You must enjoy building positive relationships with our clergy, church volunteers and staff, and be organised, persuasive, patient and resilient. The desire to go the extra mile to make a difference in our parishes and previous experience working with volunteers, whether paid or voluntary, would be an advantage.
The ability to motivate, help and enthuse volunteers and clergy is vital to the success of this role. This contact could be in person, using online platforms or email. Keeping spreadsheets and accurate records, problem solving, as well as the ability to help parishes with online and contactless giving platforms are all part of the job. No two days are the same and we would be pleased to hear from applicants who are passionate about making a difference and enjoy working in a small team.
We operate a hybrid working policy with office working days to be agreed with some flexibility required and offered. Occasional evening meetings with TOIL (time off in lieu) granted and access to a car for visits around the Diocese is needed.
