Eastern Region Commitment to Anti-Racist Practice

Driving Change Through Anti-Racist Practice

The Eastern Region is united in its commitment to developing and embedding Anti-Racist Practice across all 11 local authorities. While each authority is progressing at its own pace, the shared vision is clear: to create a region where equity, justice, and accountability are at the heart of everything we do.

The Eastern Region Anti-Racist Practice Pledge

On 16 May 2025, the Eastern Region proudly launched the Anti-Racist Practice Pledge at the inaugural Regional Anti-Racist Practice Conference. This pledge, co-developed by all 11 local authorities, represents a powerful and intentional commitment to:

Regional Anti-Racist Leadership Forum

To ensure momentum continues, the Eastern Region Anti-Racist Leadership Forum has been established. This group will meet quarterly, with the first meeting held on 23 June 2025, to lead and drive the work needed across the region.

Sustained Commitment

The Eastern Region DCSs have reaffirmed Anti-Racist Practice as a Regional Priority for the second consecutive year.

Planning is underway for the next Regional Anti-Racist Practice event this Autumn, focused on equipping practitioners with tools for transformation.
