Across the Eastern Region, we see you: all the professionals in Children’s Services who are working to support children and their families.

We are a partnership of 11 local authorities working together through a unique and ambitious collaboration. By combining our strengths, we have achieved significant improvements across the region — including reducing the number of children in care by up to a third in some areas.

Together, we have also developed an Anti‑Racist Practice Pledge, signed by all 11 authorities, expanded training opportunities for colleagues working in SEND, and built a wide range of supportive professional networks across children’s services.

Innovation is at the heart of our work. New ideas are co‑designed collaboratively and implemented consistently across the region, ensuring that our teams can learn, grow, and deliver the best possible outcomes for children and families.

It’s working. Together, we’ve reduced the number of children in care across the region – in some cases by up to a third. Every time we develop pioneering new ideas in areas such as family safeguarding – we work collaboratively to roll them out across the region. We’re giving 3,000 plus professionals the chance to bring big ideas to a very big table, and to advance their careers fast with a support team behind them every step of the way.
